Make Do and Mend Part Two

Ready to sew on the binding and repair the rips, used some trimmings left over from corset making to cover the tear and hold the edges together, and put another piece on the other side to nearly match - the rips were pointing in different directions on each side.

Not quite enough binding to go all the way round the armhole, so leaving a gap where the trimming will cover it.

The rip was too ragged to sew it together, so sewn both edges to the trimming.

The repair complete. 














Now just need to form a hood from the sleeves.
